I am a designer who believes that ‘user-centred’ and ‘sustainable’ approaches should not be independent mindsets when approaching a problem - both should be central philosophies when tackling any brief. More often than not, the two approaches go hand in hand to produce more elegant, intuitive and beautiful products that will improve the quality of our everyday lives.

I am the inventor of Bump Mark, a bio-reactive expiry label for food that will help dramatically cut food waste by indicating when the food actually goes bad. I have a patent pending for this invention and have been awarded prizes, various grants and have gained publicity worldwide.

I am currently working as a freelance designer, under Design By Sol and writing for Design Students UK. My main fields are product design, design research and graphic design.

If you would like me to get involved with a project you have, please get in touch.

I graduated from Brunel University with a degree in Industrial Design and have worked as a design researcher at CCD Design & Ergonomics, as well as a trends researcher at Canvas8. Clients that I have worked with include High Speed 2, Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and Network Rail.
